CHoICE Facilities Services is seeking a hardworking and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team. You would assist production staff in the effective production and service of high-quality meals and beverages by carrying out associated cleaning and hygiene duties. The role is kitchen-based and involves cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and food production areas. The role is predominantly cleaning and is physically demanding.
This role is 20 hours per week with a shift pattern of 2:00pmβ6:00pm, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis. Main duties:
- Hours: 20 hours per week (2:00pmβ6:00pm, rota basis over 7 days).
- The catering department requires a catering assistant to maintain cleanliness and sanitation within kitchen, production, dining rooms, central wash and staff changing areas including toilets.
- This is a physical role requiring the use of machinery such as floor scrubbers.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas within documented cleaning schedules, and ad hoc duties as requested by the duty supervisor.
- Support in stock control and stock rotation in line with HACCP guidelines for both patient and retail areas.
- Recording of food, fridge/freezer temperatures.
- Monitoring fridges/chilled units and ensuring food is within use-by date.
- Reporting faults, accidents and adverse incidents.
- Replenishing and merchandising all food display units and maintaining appropriate records.
- Demonstrating excellent customer care skills, courtesy and politeness.
- Adhering to all CHoICE policies and procedures.

Pay: Β£26,101 per year pro rata for part-time
