The Care Coordination hub located at Clarendon, Windmill Way, NE31 1AT is recruiting multiple Clinical Administrator/Call Handlers to rotate across the following shift patterns:
- 08:00 am ā 04:00 pm
- 12:00 pm ā 08:00 pm
- 08:00 pm ā 08:00 am
As a Clinical Administrator/Call Handler you will be the first point of contact for patients, carers and referrers calling the hub.
Key Tasks
- Take appropriate details to allow the patient to be triaged accordingly.
- Order stock.
- Process managed referrals including scheduling of appointments and visits.
- Gather patient information on EMIS Web and direct them to the most appropriate healthcare professional or service.
- Advise on symptom management at home using Clinical SOPs.
- Work as part of an Integrated Community Team with nonāclinical and clinical colleagues.
- Use advanced listening and probing skills to provide clear advice and signpost correctly.
- Deal with anxious or upset patients and relatives experiencing traumatic events.
- Update and input patient details, appointments and information into EMIS accurately and timely.
- Support the team through performance reporting and data management.
- Collate data and produce relevant reports.
- Provide a range of administration and clerical support from telephone calls.
- Process supplies orders.

- At least 2 years experience working in a clerical post.
- Experience of a full range of secretarial procedures including diary management and arranging meetings.
