About Blue Education

Blue Education provides premium academic planning, tutoring, admissions preparation, personal development and career guidance for ambitious students and families. We support clients across key stages of their education journey, from school and university planning through to career development. Our clients expect thoughtful advice, strong execution, clear communication and consistently high standards of service.

The Role

We are looking for a UK-based, Mandarin-speaking Sales Consultant to build trusted relationships with prospective students and families and convert qualified enquiries into long-term Blue Education clients. This is a commercially accountable consultative sales role: you will combine high-quality education advice with active pipeline ownership, objection handling, follow-up and closing responsibility. You will manage prospective clients from initial enquiry through consultation, proposal, follow-up and enrolment, while working closely with academic, Student Success and operations teams to ensure recommendations are appropriate and deliverable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation and Tailored Solutions: Conduct consultations with prospective students and parents to understand their academic background, goals, challenges, timelines, priorities and expectations. Use thoughtful questioning and active listening to identify both stated and underlying client needs. Recommend appropriate Blue Education services and clearly explain the value, rationale and expected client journey. Handle questions, concerns and objections professionally, including conversations about price, competing providers and timing.
  • Sales Conversion and Pipeline Ownership: Own qualified leads throughout the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry and needs assessment to proposal, follow-up, negotiation and final enrolment. Actively progress suitable clients towards a purchasing decision and secure clear next steps after consultations. Work towards agreed individual and team revenue, conversion and activity targets. Prioritise leads based on suitability, urgency, potential value and likelihood of conversion. Maintain consistent and timely follow-up without compromising the premium client experience.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive, professional and long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients. Manage high-quality post-signing handovers to the relevant academic, Student Success, tutor and operations teams. Identify appropriate renewal, referral and cross-service opportunities in collaboration with service delivery teams.
  • Market Development and Collaboration: Support Blue Education's UK sales strategy and contribute to events, partnerships and other client acquisition activities. Track competitor activity, emerging client needs and relevant market trends, and share actionable insights with the wider team. Work with Marketing to improve lead quality, campaign messaging and conversion performance. Work closely with academic colleagues to ensure recommendations are academically appropriate and commercially responsible.
  • Sales Administration and CRM: Maintain complete and accurate CRM records, including client needs, proposed solutions, lead stage, expected value, next action, follow-up date and outcome. Keep pipeline information current and transparent so that forecasts and conversion performance can be managed effectively. Follow company contract, pricing and approval processes accurately and consistently.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

  • Currently based in the UK, or able to relocate to the UK within an agreed timeframe.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese and professional-level English, both spoken and written.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • At least 2 years of professional sales experience.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in education, education consulting, admissions, student recruitment, tutoring services, professional consulting or another advisory environment.
  • Strong client consultation and needs-analysis skills, with the ability to translate client needs into suitable recommendations.
  • Commercial confidence: comfortable discussing pricing, handling objections, asking for commitment and following up consistently.
  • Strong written communication skills, including polished client emails and proposals.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple client conversations at different stages.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work flexibly when required, including occasional evenings, weekends and external events.

Desirable:

  • Experience in consultative, solution-based, premium or high-consideration sales.
  • Sales experience within education, tutoring, admissions consulting, student recruitment or related services.
  • Knowledge of the UK education system, including independent schools, GCSE/IGCSE, A Levels, IB, university admissions or tutoring pathways.
  • Experience working with international students, Chinese families or globally mobile families.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth, private or premium-service clients.
  • Experience using sales data to improve conversion performance, or contributing to sales scripts, proposal templates, CRM processes or playbooks.

Performance Measures

  • Sales revenue and enrolment performance.
  • Lead-to-consultation and consultation-to-client conversion rates.
  • Follow-up speed, quality and consistency.
  • Pipeline accuracy and CRM discipline.
  • Quality of client onboarding and handover.
  • Renewal, referral and cross-service opportunities generated.
  • Contribution to events, partnerships and new business opportunities.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

You enjoy combining education advice with commercial responsibility. You are confident speaking with ambitious students and high-expectation parents. You listen carefully, challenge constructively and can explain complex services simply and persuasively. You are persistent and organised without becoming overly aggressive. You take ownership of your leads, targets, follow-up commitments and outcomes. You understand that a successful sale must also lead to a deliverable and positive client experience. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-standard and growth-oriented environment.

This role may not be suitable if you prefer a purely advisory position without commercial targets, are uncomfortable discussing pricing or asking for commitment, or do not enjoy consistent follow-up and detailed CRM management.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus sales commission.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and progression into senior sales, partnerships or commercial leadership roles.
  • An international and collaborative working environment.
  • UK work visa sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates.
