The Role
- Independent & Boarding School Applications: 11+, 13+, 14+, 16+ GCSE, A Level, IB, and/or AP tuition
- Competitions tutoring: essay competitions, Olympiads
- Undergraduate university admissions preparation: especially for Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, and UCL
- Postgraduate university admissions preparation
On your application, please list all relevant teaching competencies. You may be considered for one or multiple core areas – no separate applications are required. All tuition is delivered online through our teaching platform. Most teaching is 1:1 and expectations remain consistently high across all core areas.
What You'll Do
- Student-Centric Excellence: Your foremost responsibility is delivering exceptional support and care to our students. To us, this means thorough lesson preparation, consistent attendance, and full reliability for every student you agree to teach.
- Expert Instruction: You will design and deliver personalised, high-impact lessons across your core areas of expertise – whether that be academic content teaching, admissions test support, personal statement guidance, interview preparation, or broader university/career advisory work. Lessons should be tailored, structured, and supported with appropriate homework tasks and tutors are expected to fill out a 3 question lesson report within 24 hours of each class.
- Curriculum Development: You may also want to contribute to our expanding curriculum by developing new, high-quality content across subject areas or admissions processes. We offer tutors additional pay for centralised resources projects that can be shared with our whole tutor base.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or admissions counselling experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of syllabus content or the application process in your core teaching areas.
- For UK university admissions preparation, a degree from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, or UCL is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stretch and motivate ambitious students.
- Empathetic, patient, and able to support students with a variety of needs.
- Confident working independently in an online teaching environment.
- Up-to-date awareness of trends in your subject and/or admissions field.
- A commitment to reliability, professionalism, and student-focused excellence.
