The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
As part of the Supply chain team you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement, scheduling, and availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies necessary for production. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, production planners, operations, commercial and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste and production delays.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage material schedules to meet production demands while ensuring minimal waste and inventory obsolescence.
- Raise purchase orders to ensure on time delivery is achieved by external suppliers.
- Continually review volume requirements against short term and long-term customer forecasts.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Ensuring inbound deliveries are met on time and in full and take appropriate action to minimise production shortages, whilst following up with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
- Management of all inventory to the agreed stock levels.
- Provide information to key functions and communicate appropriately to internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with commercial/technical/supply chain teams to understand and execute customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage, waste, and supplier performance.
Key Accountabilities and Measurables:
- Maintaining agreed stock levels in a cost-effective manner, measured by value of P&L inventory used and held on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ensuring stock is available to meet production requirements, avoiding downtime and customer shortages, measured by daily/weekly downtime in production/customer OTIF service levels.
- This role has a responsibility for food safety, product quality, brand integrity and Health and Safety.

- Good communicator, both verbally and written.
- Ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
- Able to adapt to an ever-changing business environment.
- Be IT literate - strong Microsoft Excel skills would be desirable.
- Have a customer focused mindset and be able to provide excellent levels of service to both internal & external customers.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight timescales and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly.
- Able to work weekends and change to appropriate shift patterns as required.
