Position: Senior Land Surveyor

Location: Hybrid (Nationwide travel required)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Our client is a well-established consultancy that has grown over the past 5 years from a specialist surveying practice into a trusted nationwide partner, delivering high-quality development consultancy services across the UK.

They support a diverse client base, including local authorities, leading national house builders, architectural practices, engineering consultancies and commercial developers. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, the business utilises the latest technology and advanced software to provide accurate, reliable and tailored survey solutions.

Core services include topographical land surveys, measured building surveys, utility surveys, setting out, as-built surveys and drone surveys.

The Role

As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey data to clients across a variety of projects. You’ll be responsible for leading surveys, managing junior team members and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Land Surveys and Measured Building Surveys (MBS).

• Oversee and implement work instructions to ensure high-quality outputs.

• Manage post-processing work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors.

• Maintain and manage survey equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.

• Ensure compliance with all on-site health and safety regulations.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering Land and Measured Building Surveys (essential).

• Proven experience in a Senior Land Surveyor or equivalent role.

• Proficient in survey instrumentation including GPS, Total Stations, Leica and 3D scanners.

• Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D AutoCAD and survey software.

• Strong experience completing Measured Building and Topographical Surveys.

• Background in civils, construction or surveying is advantageous.

• Full UK driving licence (essential).

• Knowledge of LSS (Leica Survey Software) for processing is desirable.
