Blue Diamond Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a reputable and growing house builder in the East Midlands, who are looking to appoint an ambitious Planner due to an expanding pipeline of work. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to gain broad exposure across the full planning lifecycle, working closely with an experienced Planning Director.
You will support the Planning Director across both live and future developments, taking responsibility for preparing and coordinating planning packs and managing planning submissions via the Planning Portal. The role will involve regular liaison with internal teams and external consultants, while providing valuable exposure across multiple sites and all stages of the planning process.
The region focuses on the East Midlands and currently has three live sites (soon to be four), ranging from 50–500 units, with the majority typically between 50–200 units. You will be joining a friendly, relaxed and collaborative team where culture and personality are highly valued.
You will be ambitious, driven and keen to progress your career, with the confidence to work with planning documentation and submissions. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are essential, and applications are welcomed from Graduates, Assistant Planners and other early career planning professionals. Suitable backgrounds include house building, land promotion, planning consultancy and local authority.
