Blue Diamond Recruitment is proud to be supporting a growing and well-funded property development business as they look to appoint Development Managers to join their expanding team. Our client has established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential, supported living and refurbishment schemes in partnership with local authorities and private investors.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to gain exposure across the full development lifecycle, working closely with an experienced leadership team in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will take ownership of schemes from early feasibility stages through planning, design coordination and into delivery on site, ensuring projects are progressed efficiently and to a high standard. Projects will include a mix of new build, conversion and refurbishment schemes across residential and supported living sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification and appraisal of new development opportunities
- Manage projects from feasibility and concept design through to planning submission
- Coordinate external consultants including architects, engineers and planning advisors
- Oversee design development and ensure schemes are deliverable and commercially viable
- Manage the pre-construction process including contractor engagement and PCSA stages
- Work closely with external QS and PM teams to monitor budgets, programmes and quality
- Oversee the construction phase, ensuring projects are delivered in line with expectations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders and delivery partners
About You
- Experience within development, technical, project management and/or construction roles
- Backgrounds considered from house building, housing associations, consultancy or main contracting
- Understanding of the development process from planning through to delivery
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn and develop
