Blue Diamond Recruitment is working on a new opportunity which has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a high quality house builder, supporting the delivery of multiple residential developments, based in the West Midlands. You will take full responsibility for procurement, cost control and financial reporting across 2-3 live sites, ranging from approximately 25 to 300 units.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment records is essential, alongside identifying and reporting any variations or additional works outside of agreed budgets. You will also be responsible for agreeing and finalising subcontractor accounts in a timely and efficient manner. You will produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) across all sites.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors is key, as is ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance overall business performance.

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Construction or Quantity Surveying
  • Proven experience (4+ years) within the house building sector
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel (experience with COINS or similar systems advantageous)
