Blue Diamond Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a highly reputable five-star house builder to appoint an Assistant Architectural Technician / Technologist to join their growing East Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established developer known for delivering high-quality residential schemes, offering strong long-term career progression within a supportive technical team.
The Role
You will provide key support to the Regional Design & Technical team, assisting in the delivery of residential developments from planning through to construction. Key working relationships will include the Design & Technical Director, Architectural Technicians, Senior Architects and Layout Designers.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and updating site plans and external works layouts
- Supporting Building Regulations submissions and tracking approvals
- Maintaining and managing drawing registers
- Issuing drawings and technical documentation
- Submitting planning applications to discharge conditions
- Preparing and submitting Robust Details applications
- Attending internal and external project meetings
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc technical duties
About You
- Qualified or working towards qualification in Architectural Technology or similar
- Experience within residential development or house building preferred
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficient in relevant design / technical software (e.g. AutoCAD)
