About the Opportunity: Blue Diamond Garden Centres are seeking an ambitious Plant Area Manager to take full commercial and operational responsibility for one of the most important areas of the business. This is a leadership role with real ownership. You’ll control stock, space, standards, and sales performance within the Plant Area, ensuring the department is thriving, profitable, and delivering an outstanding experience for customers every day. Whether you’re a proven manager or a strong supervisor ready to step up, this role offers genuine responsibility and a clear pathway for progression within a premium garden retail group.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Taking full ownership of the day‑to‑day performance of the Plant Area
- Managing plant stock, ordering, allocations, and volumes to maximise sales and reduce waste
- Using sales data and commercial insight to drive continuous improvement
- Ensuring excellent plant quality, availability, and presentation at all times
- Leading, coaching, and motivating a small team of colleagues
- Delivering high standards of customer service through a hands‑on leadership approach
- Supporting wider site operations and deputising for the Centre Manager when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Retail management or supervisory experience, within garden retail or plants
- Strong plant knowledge and a genuine passion for horticulture
- Confident working with data and systems; Excel experience essential
- Commercially focused, with the ability to turn insight into action
- A proactive, visible leader who leads by example
