Contract: Permanent, part‑time (14 hours over 2 days).

Salary: £9,324 per annum pro rata (£23,311 FTE).

About the role

Using your experience in retail management and leadership, you will work with the Shop Manager and the local community to drive sales, source quality fashion, accessories and homeware from donations, and build a solid customer base and network of generous donors. You will manage a team of volunteers, recruit and train new volunteers, and provide excellent customer service to those purchasing and donating.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers to achieve maximum success.
  • Recruit, train and support new volunteers.
  • Manage sales, cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Ensure a friendly and welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.
  • Plan a flexible working pattern, including weekends and bank holidays, and provide coverage for additional duties as required.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Manager and community to promote the shop and its purpose.

About you

  • Previous experience working in a retail environment.
  • Cash handling and reconciliation experience.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Strong customer experience focus.
  • Computer and administration skills.
  • It would also be great if you had experience managing volunteers.
