We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hammersmith Animal Hospital on a flexible, zero hours basis. This role is ideal for Registered Veterinary Nurses who are looking for occasional shifts, regular weekly days, or block bookings to fit around other commitments. You will be part of a supportive, experienced team delivering high quality care to pets and their owners.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, with no weekend working required.

What you'll be doing
As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering excellent clinical care and supporting the wider hospital team. Your responsibilities will include:

providing high standards of nursing care to inpatients and surgical cases

assisting veterinary surgeons during procedures and consultations

monitoring anaesthesia and supporting recovery

maintaining a safe, clean and efficient clinical environment

supporting pet owners with clear, compassionate communication

contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

About you
You will be a qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse with a flexible and proactive approach. You will enjoy working in a busy hospital environment and be confident adapting to different rotas and shift patterns. You will be motivated by delivering high standards of animal welfare and client care, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. You will also be comfortable integrating into an established team on a flexible basis, building positive working relationships and contributing from your first shift.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse

proven clinical nursing skills within a veterinary setting

ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and colleagues

a flexible approach to working patterns

commitment to high standards of patient care and animal welfare

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

experience working in a busy hospital environment

confidence supporting a range of clinical procedures

ability to quickly adapt to new teams and ways of working
