Our shop sits on the main high street, in a prime location with high footfall, in a town thatâs a mix of modern energy and historic charm. The area has a diverse population â from affluent shoppers to local communities and a young crowd from the nearby college â making every day varied and interesting.

Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. Youâll ensure every visitor feels welcome â two-legged or four! â and that the shop is a friendly, inviting place to browse. Youâll also champion Blue Cross and the incredible work we do for pets and people whenever the opportunity arises.
On the sales side, youâll drive Gift Aid signâups, process donations, price items to maximise fundraising and keep the shop floor looking its best. From eyeâcatching window displays to tidy rails and shelves, youâll ensure everything is attractive, safe, and ready to sell. This new shop space is a great place to work, acting as a mini hub for stock, with plenty of treasures waiting to be discovered.
Youâll also support our fantastic team of volunteers, keeping the day running smoothly while maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere. We have a highly motivated team who are brilliant, teamâfocused, and actively involved in local events, creating a busy but friendly working environment. While thereâs no free parking nearby, the lively, central location makes it a true community hub and a fun place to work.
If you have retail management experience, enjoy variety, and thrive in a communityâdriven environment, this is a role where you can make a real difference every day.
About you
Youâll bring retail experience, ideally with some supervisory or management experience, and youâre confident dealing with all kinds of customers. Flexibility is key â shifts vary, so youâll need to jump in when needed. Youâre organised, practical, and ready to embrace whatever the day brings.
