Contract: Permanent, full time (Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm)
Salary: £27,973 per annum (plus £3,954 for London Weighting Allowance)
Location: Victoria Animal Hospital, with travel across London (and further afield on occasion)

We are looking for a confident driver who knows their way around London, to join our Veterinary Team as a Veterinary Hospital Driver. You will play a crucial role by providing essential transport services in one of our Blue Cross ambulances.
Responsibilities
- Provide pet transport service by collecting and returning sick and injured pets for owners who are unable to bring them to the hospitals themselves.
- Transport animals to and from rehoming centres such as Burford and Southampton and inter-hospital transfers across London sites.
- Book appointments for approved clients using booking framework and plan routes accordingly.
- Ensure regular vehicle checks before travelling to ensure safety of yourself and animals.
- Follow cleaning schedules and organise vehicle maintenance as required.
- Manage hospital driver email inbox to handle bookings and client communications.
- Process payments for appointments and procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Provide reception support: greeting visitors, answering phone calls, handling enquiries via email, maintaining a welcoming front desk area.
Qualifications
- Valid, full UK driving licence.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Experience caring for or handling animals (preferred).
