Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child (child A) with Autism Spectrum Disorder in our pre-school room.
- Assist with care routines such as toileting, nappy changes, and mealtimes.
- Implement strategies outlined in the child’s Individual Education Plan.
- Support staff in understanding and working with the child’s needs.
- Document child’s progress and adapt learning opportunities accordingly.
- Attend progress review meetings and external professional sessions.
- Collaborate with key personnel to ensure consistent support and strategy implementation.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 qualified Early Years practitioner.
- Familiarity with Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and experience with additional needs.
- Passion for inclusive and nurturing environments.
- Basic knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Early Years.
- Ability to engage creatively with the curriculum and manage time effectively.
- Good English skills for supporting Speech & Language development.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
