The successful candidate will lead focused engagements where business performance and technology meet, working directly with senior leadership teams across Consumer, Retail, TMT, and Financial Services. The work covers IT strategy, cost reduction, technology due diligence, operating model design, carve-outs, merger integration, and getting troubled large scale programmes back on track. Directors lead small, expert teams and are accountable for delivery from day one.
What the role involves:
- Leading complex technology projects end to end, working closely with client teams throughout.
- Advising on IT strategy, cost optimisation, software delivery, infrastructure, architecture, governance, and operating models.
- Building strong relationships with senior clients and contributing to new business opportunities.
- Staying sharp on technology trends and bringing fresh thinking to client challenges.
What a strong candidate looks like:
- Experience gained at a leading management consultancy is essential.
- Solid experience in at least two of the following areas: IT strategy, cost optimisation, software delivery, infrastructure and operations, architecture, governance, project management, or operating model design.
- A background that combines consulting and industry experience, with a clear track record of delivering results on complex technology programmes.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with and influence board level stakeholders.
- Good commercial awareness alongside real technical knowledge.
- A degree is required. An MBA or Masters is a bonus.
- Fluency in English is essential and additional languages are welcome.
- Travel across EMEA is expected.
The firm is focused, and made up of people who have done the work themselves. There are no generalists here. For someone who wants to work on genuinely challenging technology programmes alongside experienced practitioners, this is worth a conversation. Good benefits, a generous leave policy, and flexible working are all included. The client is an equal opportunity employer.
