Our client, a UK headquartered organisation undergoing acquisition led growth, is integrating newly acquired services into their established operating model. They are seeking an experienced Post Merger Integration Manager to lead the end to end integration strategy.
This is a pivotal role within the transformation function, sitting at the heart of business and technology integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration across people, process, systems and operations, delivering Day 1 readiness and long term operational stability.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, Operations, Finance and Legal, the postholder will bridge the gap between programme delivery and real world operational impact, ensuring that change is implemented effectively, sustainably and with minimal disruption. This is a remote role with UK wide travel required.
What the Role Involves:
- Integration Strategy and Planning
- Defining and owning the overarching integration strategy and multi phase delivery plan
- Establishing a robust and credible roadmap covering pre and post completion activities
- Leading the development of a structured Day 1 readiness framework
- Establishing prioritisation frameworks based on risk, compliance and operational impact
- Surfacing risks, trade offs and dependencies, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Managing risks and issues, escalating critical items where required
- Supporting governance forums including Programme Steering team
- Aligning business operations with system and technology changes
- Managing complex dependencies between technical delivery and business readiness
- Ensuring integration plans reflect both operational and technical requirements
- Contributing to programme planning and delivery controls
- Communicating complex updates, risks and plans at Executive and Director level
- Building strong relationships across a matrix organisation
- Influencing and challenging senior stakeholders constructively
Must Haves:
- A demonstrable end to end post merger integration project delivered within the past 24 months
- Day 1 readiness planning experience as the accountable lead, not as a contributor
- Proven track record managing business and technology change in parallel
About the Candidate:
- Proven experience as a PMI Manager or equivalent within M&A or large scale integration programmes
- Demonstrated ability to work at pace in complex, ambiguous environments
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, Prosci or equivalent
- Exceptional structured thinking and problem solving capability
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance risk, cost and delivery pace
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior level
- Comfortable operating both strategically and in the detail when required
- Resilient, adaptable and delivery focused mindset
Why This Role:
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high stakes integration end to end, with direct visibility at Executive and Board level. The successful candidate will materially shape how acquired services are absorbed into the wider organisation, and how operational stability is sustained beyond Day 1.
Please apply to this advert if you have the relevant experience and are available. This is a full time permanent role. We will organise a 15 minute screening call if you meet the role criteria. Good luck!
