Blue Astral is retained on behalf of a professional services firm undergoing a business wide OM and OD transformation. The career pathways strand is at an early, high level stage. The direction is set, but the detail is not yet built. This role leads that build: taking a high level design and developing it into practical, credible career pathways across the firm's consulting, specialist and head office populations. As much of the task is winning stakeholders and getting the work landed as it is the design itself.
You will join the pathways work up with the wider people architecture, skills, talent processes, development and reward, and act as the single line of sight across those strands. It suits someone who can operate across ambiguity, bring structure and pace to an early stage piece, and carry senior stakeholders through to implementation.
What the role involves:
- Developing the high level design into detailed pathways and progression routes across consulting, specialist capabilities and head office
- Defining specialism points, progression expectations and senior route options
- Connecting pathways to skills expectations, development, talent processes and reward
- Working with the change team so the design is practical and lands well
- Preparing materials and recommendations for senior decision making forums
What we are looking for:
- Career pathways, progression framework or career architecture design, linked to a defined operating model
- Experience with skills, capability or competency frameworks
- Understanding of how pathways connect to talent, performance, promotion and development
- Background across consulting and HR or people consulting, ideally from established firms
- Comfortable creating clear, practical outputs from complex inputs
Skills:
- Career Pathways
- Organisation Design
- Job Architecture
- Skills Frameworks
- Talent Processes
- Learning Development
- Transformation
- Change Management
- Stakeholder Management
- Facilitation
Details:
- Contract: 6 months
