Warehouse Operative β Temporary (Potential Temp to Perm) Start Date: Week commencing 03/11/25 End Date: Minimum until 2nd week of January (with potential extension) Pay Rate: Β£13.00 per hour Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-18:00 Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch + 15-minute paid break π οΈ Role Overview We\βre looking for friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operatives to join our team for a busy seasonal period. This role involves working with handheld scanning devices (Zebra guns), picking and packing items with precision, and supporting the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. If you\βve worked on a production line or have experience in fast-paced environments, you\βll be well suited to this position. Training will be provided, and anyone comfortable using an Android phone should find the scanners easy to operate. Due to the geographical location of the site, having access to a car or reliable transport is strongly preferred. π Key Responsibilities Operate handheld scanning devices (Zebra guns) to pick and process orders Maintain a high level of accuracy and finesse in all tasks Pack items securely and efficiently for dispatch Support general warehouse duties including stock movement and organization Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets Follow health and safety procedures at all times Report any discrepancies or damaged goods promptly β Requirements Experience using handheld scanners (preferred but not essential) Comfortable with Android-based devices High attention to detail and accuracy Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn Previous warehouse or production line experience is a plus Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks Reliable and punctual Ideally a car driver due to location and shift times π What We Offer Β£13/hour base pay Overtime at time and a quarter Paid 15-minute break daily Supportive and welcoming team environment Full training provided Potential for temp-to-perm for the right candidate Opportunity to extend beyond January (last worker stayed until April!)
