What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and services
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
- Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and software best practices
- Build scalable, maintainable, and secure applications using modern development methodologies
- Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and data-driven solutions
- Support cloud-based and on-premise software environments
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement robust solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation across engineering teams
- Support software deployment, monitoring, and performance optimisation
Skills & Experience
We're interested in professionals who can demonstrate experience in some of the following areas:
- Commercial software development experience using C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
- Knowledge of SQL databases and data modelling principles
- Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing and code reviews
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Familiarity with Git and modern version control practices
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams
