School Catering Assistants – Blackburn & Preston Areas – School Hours – Β£12.21 p/h Full & Part Time – Term Time Only

We are currently looking to recruit many school catering assistants to support schools in the Blackburn and surrounding areas from the start of the new school term in September.

As you will be required to work within schools and nurseries, the majority of these environments offer Monday to Friday working. With typical shifts starting between 07:00 – 10:00 and finishing between 14:00 – 15:00.
If you require additional hours the Blue Arrow Ap will invite you to apply for additional shifts in suitable assignments that make your skills and geographical location.

The working environment:

You may be working within Secondary, Primary schools Colleges or Nurseries so size of kitchens and team may vary but your responsibility remains the same: To support the catering team in providing infants, children and young adults with a nutritious meal adhering to Food Safety regulations and legislation.
Duties:
Basic food prep.
Washing pots and dishes.
Ensuring kitchen and serving areas are kept clean and hygienic
Serving food.
Cash handling and till operating.

Due to the working environment all applicants will be required to hold an Enhanced Child DBS (Criminal Record Check). If you do not currently have DBS clearance Blue Arrow can support you with obtaining one along with the necessary current Food Hygiene certificate.
