Temp - Reception/Admin position (Maternity Cover) starting May - end of December 2026 (possibly until February).

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Pay - £13.45 per hour.

Location - Dumfries and Galloway.

Our client based in Dumfries and Galloway is looking for someone to join their team on a temp basis to cover maternity leave. This position will start on 18th May and will be until the end of December 2026, but there is a good chance it will extend until February 2027.

The job:

  • You will be the first point of contact for the business and will be sitting at their reception desk along with a colleague.
  • The reception desk can be quite busy at times, and their office is fast-paced and very reactive, so please only apply for this role if you are used to working in a fast-paced reception/admin office.
  • Meeting and greeting customers who have appointments.
  • Announcing guests' arrivals to the correct person.
  • Answering phone calls and transferring.
  • Daily admin duties.
  • Working with MS Word and Excel.
  • Recording data.
  • Placing online orders.
  • Helping colleagues with any other requirements.

Skills needed:

  • Previous reception experience.
  • Admin experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
