Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced Pest Control Operative on behalf of our client around the Birmingham area. Visiting multiple sites per day, your main duties and responsibilities will include: * To provide pest prevention services to a wide customer base, both commercial and domestic. * Carry out routine inspections to sites and advise on hygiene, housekeeping and proofing issues to help reduce the risk of pest activity as well as carry out control programmes. * Write reports and communicate directly with customers. * Planning your day to ensure that you can service our customers effectively and on time * Be knowledgeable about pest species the company deal with – rodents, birds and insects. Skills required: * Full clean driving licence. * Able to work under your own initiative. * Ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload. * Be flexible and able to react to unplanned situations * Be outgoing and willing to take on new challenges. * Have good communication skills. * Due to the nature of the customers services are provided to, a DBS check will be required. Benefits: * 25 days holiday per annum plus all bank holidays (33 days) * Salary starting at Β£27000 but negotiable dependent on experience * Generous commission structure from business gained with reference to recommendations made during your day-to-day work. * Mobile phone * Enrolled into the company pension scheme. * Company van (private mileage 15p per mile if the vehicle is used privately) * Uniform and full PPE/equipment provided. * Inhouse and third-party training as and when required. Qualifications – Β· The candidate is required to hold the RSPH QUALIFICATION in pest control for this position Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm The client expects you give 30 minutes travel time (unpaid) at the start and end of each day to travel to and from your first and last call of the day e.g. 7.30am from home to arrive at first call for 8am Leave last call close to 5pm to arrive home at 5.30pm If your travel time to your first call is more than 30 minutes you are not expected you to leave home before 7.30am If your travel time at the end of the day is more than 30 minutes you should plan your time so that you arrive home close to 5.30pm Click APPLY to submit your CV Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
