We\\\’re seeking a talented and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our catering team at a vibrant education site in Southampton. If you have a passion for baking and creating beautiful, seasonal desserts, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills in a rewarding environment.

- Location: Southampton, Hampshire
- Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
- Hours: Full-time
- Pay: £14.70 per hour
- Schedule: Mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support for events

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts for daily service and special events
- Support the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
- Contribute to creative menu planning with seasonal and themed offerings
- Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service
- Assist with school functions and catering events
About you
- Experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie with a pastry focus, ideally in contract catering or education settings
- Skilled in baking, patisserie, and dessert presentation
- Strong attention to detail and food safety standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible and proactive approach
