Domestic Services Support Manager Southampton | Full-Time | Β£19.57 p/h

We're looking for a manager to Lead a High-Performing Cleaning Service and make a lasting impact across a multi-site educational environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Campus Services Manager, you will lead domestic and cleaning operations across academic, residential and public-facing facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

This is 3 months contract with the possibility of getting a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Cleaning Teams (around 50 people).
  • Set operational plans, quality standards and performance targets.
  • Manage recruitment, workforce planning, attendance and staff development.
  • Drive continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
  • Manage budgets, supplier relationships and financial performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and legal requirements.
  • Support business planning and deputise for the Campus Services Manager when required.

About You

  • Significant experience delivering cleaning or facilities services through managers and supervisors.
  • Extensive knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, products and industry best practice.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Additional Information

Primarily campus-based with occasional flexible hours required to support operational needs.

Regular travel between sites within the Southampton area may be required.
