About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our Manufacturing client based in Montrose. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in finance and accounting, with training and development available as the role grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Organise and record invoices, expenses, and financial transactions
- Assist with processing invoices, payments, and customer receipts
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Track outstanding invoices and follow up when required
- Monitor financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies
- Manage spreadsheets and perform data entry
- Handle finance-related correspondence
- Respond to queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Clarify financial information and help resolve issues
Requirements
- 1-2 Years experience in a similar role
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
