Assignment Details:

Mobile Support Officer (MSO)

Working Pattern: Up to 37.5 hours per week.

Shifts: Coverage is required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Most shifts run from 5pm to 1.30am (7.5-hour shifts). Shifts are issued based on business needs.

Training: 1-day online training and induction provided.

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)

Contract: Temporary on-going

We are hiring Mobile Support Officers (MSOs) for a critical assignment. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain first-hand experience working in public safety and security.

Requirements:

  • You must live within a 20-minute commute time to the CA1 - CA5 postcode area.
  • DBS clearance.
  • No prior experience is required - comprehensive training will be provided!

Your Role:

Working remotely from home, you will be collected by a Field Monitoring Officer at the start of your shift and travel across local communities to support those who have electronic monitoring requirements. You will support Field Monitoring Officers while they install and decommission monitoring equipment. Your primary role is to be an extra pair of eyes for the Field Monitoring Officer while they attend to the task they have assigned to them. Checking that you are always both safe. You would assist with the carrying of equipment, this is not heavy. Be able to hold conversation with any friend or family in the address to allow the FMO to carry out their role. Take notes for the FMO and any other light duties requested by the FMO. You will be entering hostels, places of multiple occupancy as well as private addresses and need to be respectful of someone else's home.
