Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Door Fitter to work for an established, growing business in the Preston area.
Door Fitter salary: 32,000
Door Fitter hours: 40 Hours a week (over time may be required)

Door Fitter Roles and responsibilities:
The role will require 4 days a week working away on average (will be given an allowance when working away and will also be provided with accommodation when unable to travel home)
Specialist jobs needed sometimes where they require 3 week stints away abroad
Install, service and maintain the range of doors, which can be NPSA (CPNI) rated. The range includes Sliding-folding, bi fold doors, side hinged doors and fire doors. All doors can be either mechanical or electrically operated.
Install and maintain other manufacturers\’ doors.
Ability to read manufacturing or electrical drawings would also be essential.
Ensure that all HSE and company paperwork is completed and returned to the office after the project has been completed.
Ensure appropriate audits and checks are carried out on equipment in line with relevant standards.
Receive and put into action all written and verbal instructions as required.
Required Skills / Qualifications Required:
All Engineers will be required to have CSCS Cards as a minimum, but all Supervisors will require SSSTS cards.
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong experience with power tools
To undergo Security Clearance, which will include background checks, references for the previous 3 years employment, residential checks, a medical and complete random Drugs and Alcohol checks.
Other Qualifications which will be required: IPAF, PASMA. (Company will pay for these for the right candidate but costs will have to be reimbursed should they leave within one year.)
This role is National, so the relevant candidate will be working away from home for a large percentage of the time, which could include the odd weekend, this includes travelling to site, depending on site location.
