Blue Arrow are looking for line leaders, or those with potential to learn, to join a busy factory in the Bourne area. This is a temporary position but has the potential to lead to a direct contract for the right candidate after a minimum period of 12 weeks. We have both days and nights available:
- Day Shift: working from 7am - 19:00pm on a continental shift pattern (3, 2, 2) which includes every other weekend.
- Night Shift: working Tuesday - Saturday 18:45 - 3:30.
You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment leading a team of production operatives, completing the paperwork recording all stock used and produced. You will be responsible for the efficient running of the line and expected to meet targets and raise any potential issues.
MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB:
- Monitor the team's performance to ensure that targets are being met & exceeded.
- Motivate and encourage staff to achieve targets.
- Ensure that the lines are running safely and are clean at all times.
- Encourage the team to improve working practices and methods.
- Keep wastage of packaging and raw product to a minimum.
- Plan line to ensure stoppages are kept to a minimum.
- Follow product specifications and ensure line staff fully understand them.
- Ensure all line staff are aware of product specifications.
- Ensure product packed is to specification.
- To ensure all working practices, policies and procedures are adhered to.
