Responsibilities:

  • Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation, cooking and service, ensuring our high company standards are consistently met.
  • Manage the smooth running of your section before, during and after service.
  • Have a complete understanding of all menus within your area of responsibility, ensuring that all recipes are followed accurately, portion control is adhered to and that presentation is maintained.
  • Work alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily specials, presenting ideas for new dishes on a regular basis, along with recipes and specifications for each dish.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior chefs.
  • Ensure stock rotation is carried out correctly and wastage recorded.
  • Adhere to HACCP/COSHH standards.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times.
  • Participate in any training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance.
  • Wear clean, suitable uniform at all times and ensure a high level of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Observe all requirements under Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Year experience and service in a busy restaurant.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent coordination skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work at weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • 40-45 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, on a shift pattern.
  • Salary depends on experience and after 3 months' probation.
  • Must be available to interview in person.

Job Type: Full-time £29-32k per year, depending on experience.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.
