We are partnering with an organisation seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Manager to take ownership of a busy operational site. This role offers the opportunity to lead a multi-functional onsite services team while ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the building and its associated services.

The Role

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the building, grounds, and workplace services. You'll oversee a small onsite team covering areas such as reception, catering, and maintenance, while also managing external contractors across cleaning, security, and engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily operations for the building and surrounding areas
  • Leading and developing an onsite services team
  • Driving planned preventative maintenance and supporting with hands-on tasks when required
  • Overseeing building infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Managing supplier and contractor performance, from procurement through to ongoing oversight
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and carrying out regular inspections and risk assessments
  • Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and producing relevant reports
  • Leading space planning, refurbishments, and small works or improvement projects
  • Overseeing site security protocols, incident response, and risk management processes

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years' experience in a facilities management role
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets, and small teams
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety compliance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Full clean UK driving licence
