Job Description We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Carlisle depot, supporting our General Haulage operation with deliveries and collections to RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers who take pride in safe driving, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high operational standards. Working as part of our transport team, your responsibilities will include: Completing General Haulage deliveries using curtain-side trailers. Delivering goods to RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores. Collecting loads from stores for onward delivery to factories and distribution centres. Supporting operational requirements, including occasional loading and unloading of cages. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing all associated documentation. Maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and professionalism. Working closely with the Transport Team to ensure efficient operation of the fleet. Adhering to Drivers' Hours, WTD and Tachograph legislation at all times. Shift Patterns We have permanent full-time opportunities available on the following night shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday Nights Tuesday to Saturday Nights Friday to Monday Nights Typical start times are between 16:00 and 19:00 . We offer flexibility wherever possible, so if these shift patterns or start times do not suit your availability, we'd still love to hear from you.
