Newly Qualified, All Training Provided, £17.00 per hour, Lots of Overtime Available, Temp to Perm, No Weekends *** Blue Arrow Bristol are recruiting Class 2 drivers to work for one of the UK\’s market leading retailers to work from their depot in Avonmouth in Bristol. The roles are temp to perm – after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract directly with the client. The client is happy to accept newly qualified drivers so it\’s a great opportunity to build your experience and work for a company that will look after you and invest their time and money in your progression. All drivers will have to pass a drug and alcohol test (and be happy to be re-tested occasionally) and also undergo a Disclosure Scotland (DBS) clearance. The company has a strict anti drugs and alcohol policy and conduct random drug and alcohol tests for 2-3 staff every day. The start times for the roles will be between 4am-6am and you will be completing around 50 hours per week on average. The roles are Monday to Friday only – no weekend work will be involved. The pay rate is £17.00 per hour. The starting annual salary once you get the contract will be £42,432 + overtime + quarterly bonuses. Please note that the roles are very physical and 60% of your day will be spent loading and unloading the products. You will be working with a drivers mate at all times. As a Class 2 delivery driver, your duties will include: Completing up to 5 deliveries daily Manual loading and unloading – extensive training will be provided Completing relevant paperwork Using PODs Providing excellent customer service Candidate requirements: Category C driving licence, up to date CPC and Digi Tacho cards No more than 6 points on your driving licence and only for minor offences Physical fitness Reliability and trustworthiness Good customer service skills and willingness to represent client\’s values Good level of spoken English All drivers will need to pass a driving assessment (theory and practical test as well as a drug & alcohol test) and complete 1 week\’s worth of training (mainly manual handling and safe lifting practices) before starting to drive yourself.
