Blue Arrow are recruiting Class 2 drivers to work for a general haulage company based in Gloucester. The roles are ongoing full-time working Monday to Friday - no weekend work will be involved.
The start times for the roles will be 7am and you will be completing around 50 hours per week on average. The pay rate for the first 8 hours is £16.00 per hour, overtime will be paid at time and a third - £21.28 per hour. For the right candidates, there will be opportunities to get a permanent contract after being employed by Blue Arrow for the first 12 weeks.
The roles will involve delivering a wide range of products to businesses and completing up to 15 drops/collections per shift. As a Class 2 delivery driver, your duties will include:
- Driving curtain sider lorries and completing up to 15 deliveries/collections daily
- Strapping the load
- Offloading goods as and when required
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Using PODs
- Providing excellent customer service
Candidate requirements:
- Ideally at least 1 year experience in a Class 2 or 7.5T driving role
- Category C driving licence, up to date CPC and Digi Tacho cards
- ADR licence would be advantageous
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence and only for minor offences
- Physical fitness
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Good customer service skills
- Good level of spoken English
