The Role
As part of the on‑site engineering team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of production equipment. Key duties include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults across both electrical and mechanical systems
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, motors, sensors, and pneumatics
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Updating maintenance activities within a CMMS system
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
- Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams
About You
We're looking for a proactive and motivated engineer who enjoys working in a modern manufacturing environment.
Essential:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production setting
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
- Confident with fault-finding and PPM activities
- A professional, team‑focused approach
Desirable:
- Experience with PLC fault finding or automation systems
- Familiarity with CMMS software
- Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
Working Hours
Rotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:30, 14:30 - 23:00. Fridays: 06:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 18:00. No night shifts. Consistent, predictable shift pattern.
