Fire & Security Service Engineer in Coventry

Key Purpose of the Job\\n\\nServicing and maintenance of intruder, CCTV and access control systems, as well as installation & maintenance of electronic fire alarm systems, portable extinguishers and emergency lighting in accordance with the current standards.\\n\\nKey Job Responsibilities\\n\\nServicing and maintaining various intruder, CCTV and access control systems.\\nWorking towards and exceeding maintenance and fault finding targets.\\nDemonstrate systems for customers, and explain details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.\\nCarry out corrective and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and portable extinguishers.\\nBe part of an On Call Rota for OOH callouts and telephone support.\\nInstallation of both conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems to a high standard of workmanship\\nInstallation/commission of portable extinguishers\\nAny other reasonable requests from management\\nThe post holder will ensure the health, safety and welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with the Kings Policy \\n\\nRequirements for the job\\n\\nGood communication skills\\nGood fault finding skills first time fix\\nA proven background and experience of working within fire and engineering\\nAbility to demonstrate a working\\nNetwork/IP based product experience\\nExperience of undertaking service, repair work\\nExperience of conventional and addressable fire systems across a range of manufacturers equipment\\nGood overall fire product knowledge\\nKnowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage\\nFull understanding to BS5839 is essential\\nFull driving license\\nThe successful candidate will be expected to operate to the highest standards of quality workmanship in line with NSI Electronic Security Systems NACOSS GOLD, NSI Fire Gold, BAFE, and the latest FIA and BSI standards and codes of practice.Preferred requirements\\n\\nGENT & Advanced Fire Alarm systems knowledge is desirableFIA Service & Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers\\n\\nBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
