Blue Arrow Bristol are recruiting Class 2 / LGV 2 Drivers to work for our client based in Yate near Bristol (BS37). The roles are 12 weeks temp to perm working Tuesday to Saturday with start times at 6am. You will be completing on average 50 hours per week, delivering flat packed kitchens to customers and completing around 5 deliveries per day. You will always be working with a porter / driver's mate who will assist with the manual side of the role.
Basic hourly pay rate (PAYE) will be £17.29 per hour, with overtime after 48 hours weekly paid at £25.94 per hour. The annual salary once you secure the permanent contract will be £42,500 pa. All drivers must pass a drug and alcohol test (and be willing to be re-tested occasionally) and undergo a Disclosure Scotland (DBS) clearance.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least two years' of previous Class 2 experience is necessary
- Cat C driving licence, valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards
- No more than 6 points on the driving licence for minor offences
- Own transport or ability to get to Yate for 6am starts
Your duties will include:
- Completing on average 5 deliveries daily
- Manual loading and unloading - training will be provided
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Using PODs
- Providing excellent customer service
