The role
As a Collection and Delivery Driver, your day typically begins with planning your delivery route. Local knowledge and experience with multi-drop deliveries are beneficial. Before leaving the depot, you will carry out safety checks on your vehicle. Your responsibilities include collecting and delivering parcels to households and businesses, scanning parcels on and off-route for tracking, and ensuring timely delivery.
You should enjoy driving, even during peak hours, and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg. Willingness to work paid overtime, including possible Saturdays, is required.
We seek positive team players who are flexible and willing to help colleagues ensure all parcels are delivered on time. Customer interaction skills and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are essential to deliver our high standard of customer service.
Requirements
- A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than 6 penalty points. A clean licence is preferred, and you will be asked to show this at assessment.
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays.
Hours of work: 12 midday to 7 pm, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends).
