Catering Manager based at a school in the Barnet area. Term Time only. Salary from £40,000, Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organises and supervises food preparation and service.
  • Ensures catering services operate in accordance with all relevant food hygiene and health and safety processes and procedures.
  • Leads and manages catering staff team on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Maintains effective control systems and records of stock.
  • Maintains and rotates appropriate stock levels, ensures minimum wastage of product.
  • Successfully resolves customer and employee complaints.
  • Develops effective client relationships through regular communication.
  • Attends training as and when required; training may be scheduled outside normal working hours.
  • Compliance with all statutory and company health and safety practices and procedures, including manual handling.
  • Adheres to all company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and provisions of contract.
  • As and when required, carries out additional tasks concerned with the operation of the establishment.
  • For education establishments, complies with statutory and company safeguarding regulations.

Education, Training & Qualifications:

  • NVQ in supervision and leadership.
  • For education establishments, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure or security clearance and cleared Barred List Check is essential.
