About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to join a busy garden centre café in Lawrence Weston. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional with strong barista skills and experience supervising a small team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high food hygiene standards, managing stock levels, and supporting staff to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising the daily operation of the café
- Leading, supporting, and motivating café staff
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffees and speciality drinks
- Maintaining stock levels and placing orders when required
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
- Completing and maintaining all required compliance paperwork
- Monitoring cleanliness, food safety, and customer service standards
- Assisting with food preparation and service during busy periods
- Managing opening and closing procedures
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Café Supervisor, Hospitality Supervisor, or similar management role
- Trained Barista with hands-on coffee-making experience
- Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (or above)
- Experience managing stock control and ordering
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Availability to work weekends
