Chefs - Flexible Shifts

Locations: Birmingham and surrounding areas

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (varies by client)

Pay: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re looking for passionate chefs to cover a variety of sites across Birmingham & surrounding areas. We’re on the lookout for chefs with an in-date Enhanced DBS (or willing to get one) to join our team. You’ll be stepping into kitchens where quality matters, and no two days are quite the same.

This is a flexible, temporary role - ideal for chefs wanting:

  • Extra hours alongside other work
  • More consistent temporary assignments
  • A potential route into permanent positions

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh dishes to a high standard
  • Running your own section confidently and independently
  • Storing, sorting and rotating ingredients correctly
  • Unpacking deliveries and keeping the kitchen organised
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Communicating clearly with kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Supporting wherever needed with a can-do attitude

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous chef experience in a similar environment
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (within the last 3 years)
  • DBS certificate - or willingness to obtain one
  • Chef whites and knives
  • Able to travel to sites across Birmingham and surrounding areas
  • Strong time management, initiative, and communication skills
  • Happy to get stuck in with general cleaning and team support
