We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team and act as the primary finance representative for our UK operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams while supporting financial reporting, compliance, controls and business performance.
Working alongside property management teams and our Manila Shared Service Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial information, maintaining robust controls and supporting the ongoing success of our UK business.
The Role
As Finance Officer, you will provide practical finance support to operational management while reviewing financial information, investigating discrepancies and ensuring compliance across multiple UK sites.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance & Financial Controls
Conduct daily and weekly income audit checks across EPOS, ticketing and banking systems.
Investigate variances, refunds, voids, discounts and complimentary transactions.
Support operational teams in maintaining strong financial controls.
Identify potential revenue leakage and recommend corrective actions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Review management accounts prepared by the Shared Service Centre.
Analyse financial performance and investigate unusual movements.
Provide variance explanations against budget, forecast and previous year performance.
Support operational managers in understanding financial results and trends.
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Month-End & Audit Support
Coordinate and provide information required for month-end reporting.
Review draft reports and liaise with finance colleagues regarding adjustments.
Assist with external audit queries and supporting documentation.
Compliance & Regulatory Support
Support VAT reporting and compliance processes.
Assist with HMRC correspondence and local authority finance matters.
Maintain records supporting tax filings and statutory obligations.
Asset & Expenditure Controls
Coordinate fixed asset records and verification exercises.
Support procurement and capital expenditure approval processes.
Assist with stock and inventory reviews where required.
