We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
- Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
- Inform the transport office of any problems in good time, e.g. if you're running late
- Fit to drive, considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive
- Ensure you arrive at your job on time
- Excellent customer service
- Airport work
- Maintain health and safety standards
- Operating in a safe way, following all road rules
- Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office
- Delivering goods to various locations
- Tail lift and trunking experience required
Requirements:
- Refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential
- Minimum experience: 6 months
- Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential
- Completed CPC training course
- Class 1 Driving License (C+E)
- Valid CPC, Digital tacho cards
- Flexibility
- Strong logistical and geographical knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Multi-drop experience preferred
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times
- Fully completed driver CPC
- HGV / LGV Class 1 licence with at least 12 months experience
- Be able to work weekends
- Good work ethic
