Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for an experienced Zone Leader to join our clients team based in the Port Talbot Area.
This an exciting opportunity to join an Internationally recognised Manufacturer in the Nutritional Supplement Industry.
Salary: Negotiable (Basic + Shift Allowance)
Hours of work: Full Time: 2 shift pattern 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm rotating. The occasional night shift may be required so flexibility is desirable.
Role Summary: As a Zone Leader role within the company, the Zone Leader is responsible for ensuring that the departmental team have the skills/ \βtools for the job\β by driving area / line operations within a specific area. From coaching of staff to developing best practise and ensuring Quality Right first time approach. The Zone Leader provides a consistent framework to developing Standards / Teamwork for people / process ensuring Health and Safety awareness /compliance
Role Details:
Health & Safety
* Overall Management responsibilities for Health & Safety in their designated areas
* Ensure risk assessments are available for all operations and are reviewed appropriately. * Ensure operators are working in a risk free environment wearing the correct PPE
* Ensure the operators are compliant in company H&S requirements
* Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled out in a timely manner
Quality/ Technical
* Actively promote a \βright first time\β environment
* Ensure food safety is followed in the production of products
* Ensure area standards are set and maintained
* Assist in NC/CAPA investigations as required
* Own responsibility of line clearance for manufacturing/packaging as per SOP372
Attainment to plan
* Review the resource to ensure that levels are acceptable for plan adherence
* Ensure plan is completed and discrepancies are reported accurately through works order compliance
* Ensure blockers to OTIF are removed or resolved
* Ensure all equipment is running to agreed cycle time rates
Staff development
* Coaching staff and development of their teams and to review progress
* Identify training needs for self and team
* Ensure all opportunities for training are realised
Continuous improvement
* Developing and owning departmental improvement plans
* Support and guide team to ensure improvements are delivered
* Identify potential areas of improvement
