Blue Arrow is recruiting an experienced Chef De Partie to join our clients busy, charming restaurant based in Tenby.
Contract: Temporary (potentially Permanent)
Pay: £15.80ph
Hours of work: Full time, 5 days out of 7, between 9.30am and 10.30pm
The successful candidate will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain the highest food quality and hygiene standards while ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, fish, etc.)
* Prepare and present dishes according to the restaurant\’s standards and recipes.
* Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods.
* Supervise and train Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
* Maintain food hygiene, health, and safety standards always (in accordance with HACCP guidelines).
* Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to improve efficiency and creativity.
* Report any maintenance issues or shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your station and assist in general kitchen duties.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health and safety practices.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Team player with good communication and leadership skills.
* Creativity and passion for food and cooking.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
