We are currently seeking Warehouse and Despatch Assistants to join our busy Nursery team near Romsey, Hampshire. Each year, we pack and despatch nearly one million plants to our 22 Garden Centres across the South, and we are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to help support our peak operations. This is an ongoing temporary role, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately packing plant orders for our Garden Centres as part of a team
- Labelling, cleaning, and preparing plants ready for customer delivery
- Picking and preparing picture labels
- Cleaning and re-setting processing areas between shifts
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and adhering to all Health & Safety procedures
- Assisting in other areas of the warehouse and plant nursery as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong attention to detail with good reading skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Consistent reliability with a strong work ethic
- Conversational level of English
- Good timekeeping and punctuality
Shift Details
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM
- Breaks: 15-minute tea break and 30-minute lunch break
Pay rate - £12.21 p/h
Additional Information
- Bank Holidays (April-August) are required due to peak season
- Overtime may be required during busy periods
- Due to our remote location, candidates must have their own reliable transport
