We are seeking a reliable and proactive Night Catering Food Service Supervisor to join our team in Fareham. This role is ideal for someone with experience in food service and kitchen operations, who thrives in a night-time working environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the safe reheating of food, performing light cooking duties, maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring efficient food service during night hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reheat pre-prepared meals in accordance with food safety standards.
- Carry out light cooking duties as required (e.g., preparing simple hot snacks or breakfast items).
- Serve food to staff/customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure portion control and presentation standards are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas throughout the shift.
- Carry out end-of-shift cleaning duties including sanitising surfaces, washing equipment, and waste disposal.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Oversee night-time kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or maintenance issues.
- Support and guide any night staff or assistants on duty.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a catering or food service environment.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen cleaning protocols.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative during night shifts.
