We are recruiting for a Chef to join a busy and professional contract catering operation in Newton Abbot.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef who enjoys producing high-quality food in a structured environment while benefiting from a consistent 4-day working week.
Working Pattern
?? Sunday: 07:00 - 18:00
?? Monday: 07:00 - 18:00
?? Tuesday: 07:00 - 18:00
?? Wednesday: 12:00 - 18:00
Flexibility will be required to provide additional cover for staff sickness and holidays when needed.
Key Responsibilities
? Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals
? Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
? Supporting stock control and kitchen organisation
? Ensuring food is prepared and served to company standards
? Working effectively as part of a professional catering team
? Assisting with menu delivery and daily kitchen operations
? Following all HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
? Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie, or Sous Chef
? Experience within contract catering, education, healthcare, or commercial catering environments is desirable
? Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
? A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
? Knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
? Flexibility to support additional shifts when required
