Are you a Head Chef that is looking for a work life balance, straight shifts, evenings off and a fair share of weekends off then this could be the role for you.
Recruiting for a Head Chef to join a contract catering unit located Near Exmouth, this is a busy site catering for high volume using fresh ingredients. You will be working for one of the industry's leading contract catering companies. You will be managing a team of 6 catering for around 100-180 covers depending on the time of the year. Functions are occasional throughout the year and can cater for up to 300.
Key Information:
* Salary: £37,835
* Hours: 40 Hours per week, Shifts are day times, either finish by 2pm or some shifts finish by 7pm, 5/7 days but mainly Monday to Friday with occasional weekends to cover functions
* Location: Exmouth/Exeter area
* Contract: Permanent

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Head Chef will Include:
* To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
* To support in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
* To be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge
* To maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control
* To comply with health and safety and food safety legislations
What You Need To Be a Successful Head Chef:
Previous Experience as a Head Chef
NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
